Art Educator
Peggy Ross is an award-winning teaching artist trained in visual art and textiles.
Peggy paints, collages, sews, and weaves. She has been inspiring youth and adult students to learn and create for more than 25 years.
“Teaching art in concert with school curriculums deepens learning about the subject. Not only are students learning about design basics and art techniques, they are also more deeply exploring their knowledge of sciences, math, language arts, and project planing. They are thinking creatively and critically, using kinesthetic as well as visual spatial ‘intelligences,’ and having fun doing it.”

“"Peggy is incredibly creative, easy to work with, inspiring, and she is fantastic with students and teachers. Our kindergarten students joyfully collaborated on three beautiful pieces of art. It was a wonderful experience for all!"

“The World is filled with potential art supplies not to be resisted........
Which is why if I'm not in a classroom, art studio or my garden, I might be found "junkin'" at a garage sale or wandering around a hardware store imagining artistic uses for the objects I see. Lines, shapes, textures, and glorious color can be found everywhere!
I love to make art, especially fiber related art! I weave, paint, stitch imagine, and construct.“ —Peggy Ross
“"Peggy is a dynamic artist! Her enthusiasm is contagious, and she is very respectful in her interactions with the students! I'm booking now for next year.”
